About the Exhibition

Lovely feeling arise from lovely encounters, mischievous emotions spring to mind. When you carefully look around, there are many emotions in this world. Emotions are present throughout a person's life story. The lovely, mischievous, cute, and mysterious "creatures" made by Yuco Maruo embrace all those emotions with beautiful figure.

KaNAM gallery is pleased to present "Emochim?" one year from the last exhibition of Yuco Maruo at Karuizawa New Art Museum. "Emochim" is a coinage which originates from the word "emotion". "Emochim" sounds like a character's name or catchphrase. The exhibition features the new type of creatures looking like emotions themselves. How do you feel when you encounter so many emotions? Pleased? Happy? Or something else???

This exhibition will have two periods of display. Also the works exhibited at "After Gooskanpi" at the Karuizawa New Art Museum will also be on display.
