In the fourth exhibition room, you will be invited to a journey through the stories created by four artists. Enjoy the various stories that unfold, including events in faraway lands, historical facts, fairy tales, tales of the future in space, and mysterious tales.
Takano Aya creates manga and paintings based on science fiction stories about space and the future, and develops mysterious worlds and stories where the everyday and the cosmic intersect. Takano creates many stories in parallel with her paintings, and here she will exhibit some of her stories, mainly from her published books.
Erika Kobayashi has created a manga called "Children of Light," which traces the history of radioactivity. To commemorate the publication of the international edition of the book, this exhibition will allow visitors to experience the worldview of the book through a multimedia composition that includes the publication, its original artwork, and related video.
The French author Nicolas Buffe creates original stories composed of motifs that appear in fairy tales based on the history of the European Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and expresses these as unique works using paintings, sculptures, etc. This exhibition will display some of his representative works, giving visitors a glimpse of the stories.
Ryoichiro Kezuka has published a series of music-themed manga called "Onban Kikou." One of the stories, "In the Town Where Rana Lives," deals with the issue of politics and freedom of expression, which makes us think that these are issues that cannot be ignored even in modern society.
