[Museum] Special Lecture on Saturday, 11/ 23 (Sat)

Last Saturday, we held a lecture by Kengo Kuma himself to celebrate the opening of the exhibition "Kengo Kuma: Landscape Architecture - Hills, Mountains, Forests, Caves" at the Karuizawa New Art Museum. The event was a great success, with a full house!
Thank you to everyone who participated 😊
And thank you, Dr. Kuma, for taking the time out of your busy schedule!

During the lecture, he showed slides of photos of various buildings he has worked on, and explained how he designs buildings that blend into the city without spoiling the scenery. "Architecture is hills, mountains, forests, caves. Topography is also an important element of nature, and Karuizawa is a suitable place to hold an exhibition on that theme," he said, which was impressive. He also answered questions posed by locals, such as "What is the appeal of Karuizawa from the outside?" and "What are some of the best places you've been to that you would recommend?" The lecture was held in a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish.
Most of the projects discussed today are currently on display at the exhibition.

Now, with the full cooperation of Kengo Kuma and Associates, this exhibition is packed with very interesting content.
If you are staying in Karuizawa, please invite your friends and drop by! We look forward to seeing you!
