There are many stories behind the works in the Colbert exhibition. In this workshop, participants will first look at the exhibition, select a work, and create a story. After that, they will write lines that the characters in the work might say in speech bubbles prepared in advance.
Finally, they took a photo holding the speech bubble in front of the real thing and presented it to everyone!

This year, we held a summer vacation workshop event. About 10 children, ranging from 4 years old to 3rd grade of elementary school, participated in the event.
While watching Philip Colbert's works, participants will choose their favorite work, create a story, and write lines in speech bubbles at the end. Take a photo and you're done!
Each friend later announced which work and character they had written a line for!
Although everyone struggled with the task, which required considerable imagination, they paid close attention to the artworks and observed them in detail. The workshop started just after 10am, and after some warnings, they headed to the second floor to view the exhibition. When they found a piece they liked, they returned to the second floor with their speech bubble in hand, took a lunch break with their own packed lunches, and extended the workshop time by an hour and a half in the afternoon to finish their own works. We were amazed at the children's concentration and powers of observation, and the excitement of the children once again reminded us of the overwhelming power of Lobster Planet.
