The "Ronald Ventura - Introspection" Exhibition (until Sunday, April 4th) is currently being held to great acclaim on the second floor of the museum.
There are only a few more opportunities to see Ventura's precious works, which came to Japan by boat and plane during this COVID-19 pandemic. For those of you who don't know about the Ventura exhibition yet, we'd like you to come and see it! We've planned a workshop so that you can learn about it.
The usual admission fee for this workshop is 2000 yen (for general visitors), but we will be offering it for a flat rate of 1000 yen, which includes the exhibition ticket.

In this workshop, you will first have a chance to look around at the exhibits while talking with the curator in charge. After that, you will find your favorite and use it as a hint to paint a picture on a piece of larch wood to make an ornament.
REPORT
On Sunday, March 3th, there were many travelers from the Kanto region, and it was the middle day of the three-day weekend. The workshop was also attended by people who wanted to participate on the day.
The venue was fully booked.
The workshop was divided into two parts: a 30-minute viewing session and a one-hour creative session.
Participants were excited about the opportunity to tour the exhibitions with the staff in charge, as it helped them learn the key points to viewing the exhibitions efficiently.
While viewing the exhibit, participants are asked to pick out a character they like and then use tracing paper to trace the outline or draw a freehand illustration onto the larch tree.
Then each child colours it and at the end, they create a beautiful ornament!
The hour and a half spent looking at the exhibition and creating art passed by in a flash.
