The Karuizawa Town Community Festival is held every autumn by the town's social welfare council. Our museum has participated in the festival for the past few years, but this year the festival has been canceled to prevent the spread of infection.
Instead, the "Smile Project" was launched this year, with our Embassy participating.
What is the karuizawa Smile Project?

The Karuizawa Town Social Welfare Council has been holding the "Fureai Festival" every year, a welfare festival where anyone can participate and "interact" and "interact" with the aim of "connecting". However, this year's festival was canceled to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We wanted to connect our thoughts to next year's Fureai Festival and to brighten everyone's spirits even a little, so we have planned the Karuizawa Smile Project.

Basically, you can take the photo however you like! (Photo orientation must be landscape.)

We will collect everyone's smiles (photos), connect their feelings with smiles, and express them in the form of art murals to be exhibited in local facilities and other locations in order to brighten everyone's spirits even just a little.
Now that we cannot connect in person, we want to cherish the opportunity to connect and ask for as many of you to participate.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and heavy snowfall,
I finally managed to install it yesterday!
If you happen to pass by the museum, be sure to take a look at the panel.
