We will be inviting Poyoko, who was well-received at last year's "Let's Make a Creature Pencil," to hold "Let's Make a Daruma Pencil with Poyoko!" This is a workshop where you will use a face brush to paint with acrylic paints on a Daruma shape that Poyoko has prepared in advance using stone powder clay on the tip of a pencil. If you would like to participate, please apply by phone.
※Please come in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Here is the flyer! ↓↓↓
Let's make a Daruma pencil with Poyoko-san
REPORT
Although the number of participants was less than the capacity, each of the participants
It was a fun workshop, full of energy and laughter.
Making a Daruma is a mysterious thing. Do the dolls gradually resemble the person who draws them, or do they bring good fortune?
It was a time when a very happy atmosphere was in the air.
Also, every time I see it, Poyoko-san takes her time to prepare the work. She mixes the clay and turf stones to harden them, and then carefully applies a primer.
This white mold has a faint resemblance to a Daruma doll, including the bridge of the nose and the contours of the face.
Each piece is different, and the participants' paintbrushes seem to breathe life into them.
All three participants completed their own humorous and adorable Daruma pencils and took them home as souvenirs.
Despite these difficult times
Poyoko-san, who made time to visit the museum and enthusiastically guided us.
Thank you very much.
I'm really thankful to you.
I hope that the day will come when many people can come to the workshop like last year.
Now all we can do is wait patiently.
This is the last workshop for this year. Thank you for your support this year.
The workshop starting on January 1rd next year is scheduled to be held as usual.
looking forward to! !
