In this workshop, after viewing the current exhibition "Worldwide Artists of Asia with Continuous Evaluation from Today's Perspective---vol.III," focusing on the techniques of "accumulation" and "repetition" in the works of artists such as Tomosuke Uemae and Yayoi Kusama, we would like participants to then challenge themselves to see how many circles they can make out of round stickers to express what they want to express.

Karuizawa New Art Museum will participate in the Karuizawa Town Friendship Festival [Sunday, 9/29/ 10, half past ten @ Karuizawa Town Central Community Center] with the above workshop content. In the first year, it was "Making Original Bookmarks," and last year it was "Making Badges," but this year, in the third year, we will exhibit "Easy Dot Art Using Round Stickers! Experience the Wonders of Contemporary Art!" Participation is free. ○This is a corner where you can play with round stickers, so please come and participate! Thank you very much.
The event ended successfully on September twenty-nineth

REPORT

You can see up close how each brush stroke comes together to create a piece of art.
On the second day of the long weekend on Sunday, September fifteenth, we held an event called "Let's Make Art with Round Stickers"!
This project was conceived with the intention of letting the children experience how some of the works on display are the result of repeated meticulous work, concentration, and continued effort by the artists. Today, after viewing the masterpieces on the second floor, including polka dots, mesh, and pointillism, it was time to start creating! I was impressed by the children's ability to quickly choose and stick stickers on their work without any preliminary work!
This workshop also served as a demonstration for the Fureai Festival on the 29th of this month, and we received some interesting responses from children and adults alike, which was very informative.
Can you see how each stitch has turned into a three-dimensional object? After being shown around the second floor, everyone picked out stickers one by one, stuck them on, and created a wide variety of works!
Thank you to the creative Oshima family!
A mother and daughter from Tokyo. What lovely colors!
