This year, during Golden Week, Karuizawa New Art Museum's workshops will be available at Karuizawa Prince Hotel West. The first is "Let's play with collages" and the second is "Let's make an Othoniel bracelet". Both are popular creative experiences that have been held repeatedly at our museum. The former is a collage bookmark creation following the work of modern surrealist Kiro Uehara, who was introduced at KaNAM about two years ago in "Surrealism and its development: Max Ernst, Kiro Uehara, Special invitation: Jan Švankmajer". The latter is a workshop that was started four years ago during Golden Week to introduce Jean-Michel Othoniel, a French contemporary artist who created the three-dimensional work "Gate of the Heart", which is a string of spheres arranged in a heart structure in the museum's garden. Here, you will actually thread Czech beads onto thread to make a bracelet. This experience is available to everyone from children to adults.
