*We will be using colored clay on the day, so please come dressed in clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Did you know that the works on display at the current exhibition "Art is Science II" include space guides called "Eggy Boys"? These are adorable characters by Yoichiro Kawaguchi, who also participated in Part I of the previous exhibition. Last time, they only appeared in the picture book "Growthland," but this time, you can see these characters as artworks. In this workshop, after viewing the artworks, you will have fun making space creatures out of colored clay.

November Workshop

REPORT

The workshop on Sunday, November twelve 2017, was also successfully completed. Unlike the last weekend on Saturday, November fourth and Sunday, November fifth, when a dozen or so children gathered, the atmosphere was private and relaxed. After immersing themselves in the world of Yoichiro Kawaguchi at the exhibition on the second floor, it was time to make Eggy! All of the works created were original. Although they were confused by the colored clay material, which they were touching for the first time, they skillfully made shapes, mixed colors, and attached parts with water. Thank you to everyone who participated in "Let's Make Space Creatures Part II", which was held three times. In the future, we plan to hold a braiding experience workshop in December and our annual New Year's workshop in January. We will be sure to announce it on flyers at nearby stations and libraries, as well as on Facebook and our website, so please check and feel free to join us. We look forward to seeing you!
