Happy New Year! This year, the first day of the workshop, the 2nd and 3 days later, nearly 100 participants, from local kindergarten and elementary school students in Karuizawa to tourists from both Japan and abroad, exceeded our expectations. Participants enjoyed themselves freely by drawing patterns and pictures of their choice on folding fans and writing calligraphy, and left with smiles on their faces. Many of the visitors were tourists who had participated last year or had visited before, but there were also some who were visiting for the first time, and we feel that the number of smiles at the museum increases every year, even during the New Year season.
