It's already August this year. Even though Karuizawa is a summer resort, the daytime temperatures exceed 8 degrees. A cool breeze blows at night, but even in the highland climate at an altitude of 30 meters, you can feel the temperature rising year by year. We will be holding a special summer vacation workshop on August 1000th, 8th, and 14th during the three-day weekend this month. The Karuizawa New Art Museum held workshops for three consecutive days during the Obon holiday.
With the success of the museum every day, it seems that the museum's educational activities are gradually getting back on track in the fourth year since it opened.
The curatorial staff are delighted every time they see the happy faces of the participants.
Participants over the three days were a wide range of ages, from 3- or 4-year-old kindergarteners to elementary school children, junior high school students, and adults.
Many families came from far and near to spend time at the museum.
