To commemorate Jean-Michel Othoniel's "DNA of Love" exhibition, which began on July 11th, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding workshops again in August, following the success of our pre-workshops during Golden Week and the workshops on July 19th and 20th, which were well-received by families with children, young couples, and senior citizens! In front of Othoniel's work "Blue Gradient Necklace," displayed in the museum's first-floor corridor, on August 6th you can make a bracelet using Czech beads, just like last time, and on August 15th you can also create a heart-shaped object—a truly unique opportunity. Children can use this as a summer vacation project, and adults can create wonderful summer art memories—please join us!
*Please note that we only have a limited supply of materials for making bracelets and heart objects, so the workshop will end as soon as the beads, kits, etc. run out.

This time at Karuizawa New Art Museum, we continued making bracelets from the previous two sessions!
On the 15th, we held a workshop where we provided kits for making heart-shaped objects.
As expected, it is popular with children in the lower grades of elementary school, and there are many families, and people from the Kanto, Koshinetsu, Tohoku, and Kansai regions come to visit.
There were many participants from far away.
The participants then created the object while looking through the glass at Othoniel's red and white heart-shaped object, "Gate of the Heart," which is becoming a trademark of the main building.
Those who chose the heart object seemed to have had a different artistic experience than if they had just chosen a jewelry bracelet.
Visitors were amazed to learn that Othoniel's work at the museum was made by threading each glass bead by hand onto a stainless steel stem, and then focused on the object at hand, which had been created using the same process.
I spent the time imagining the face of the person who would receive it, wondering whether to display it at home or give it as a gift.
During their summer in Karuizawa, everyone enjoyed their time at the workshop.
