Born in Prague, Czech Republic in 1934, Švankmajer is an animation artist, film director, and surrealist who is actively working in a variety of fields, including collage, terracotta, and objects.
In 1987, he made his first feature film, "Alice," based on the novel by Lewis Carroll, which won the Best Animated Feature Film Award at the Annecy Film Festival. Since then, he has produced and released seven feature films, and is known worldwide as a master of surrealism.
This exhibition will feature the collage that became the cover of the "Alice in Wonderland" book, as well as other valuable works such as drawings, lithographs, and posters.

Born in Prague in 1934.After graduating from the Crafts High School in Prague in 1954, he entered the Puppet Theater Department of the Theatre Faculty of the Czech National Academy of Arts.
1958 - 1960: He served in the military.
