Whitestone Karuizawa is pleased to exhibit the gallery collection “Black and White”

From Picasso to Banksy, the exhibition will feature the works in black and white from various artists of the time.

The lines, brushstrokes, blotches, shadows, margins, and blurs are much appreciated with a reduced use of colors. We believe you can feel the artist's presence, the depth of expression, and the meaning of the work more deeply when you confronted with a work in black and white. The differences in expression by production method, such as lithography, copperplate engraving, pencil, ink, etching, silkscreen, etc., are also more noticeable.
