Ronald Ventura, Bobro, 2018

We are pleased to introduce Ronald Ventura’s Bobro, 2018.

“Bobro” is a sculpture inspired by the artist’s own dog.

It is over three meters tall, with seven-colored eyes, a golden collar, and a golden bone.

It sits at the entrance of the museum like a guardian deity or a gatekeeper.

If there is something in this work that is equal to the divinity and gratitude of a great Buddha, guardian

dog, or Jizo, this is because art has always been an object of veneration and reverence, while remaining

pop and chic in any age.

In fact it is also an object to be worshipped, and it is essential for human beings.

In this work, the infinite possibilities of art are expressed through its size, charm and friendliness.
