Ronald Ventura: About the “Disturbingly Fragrant Animals” in Room 4

We would like to introduce here “Animals with a Disturbing Scent,” currently on display in Room 4.

In this room, the yellow and black stripe pattern that you see in construction sites and dangerous areas continues from the wallpaper to the artwork. Then there is a bull with a yellow and black pattern having four wings. When you look to the side, you’ll see a tiger or lion-like animal with the same pattern, Hyper Beast, coming toward me.
There is also Blade 2 (Anatomy), a strange black horse-like animal with a pointy head. These can also be seen in the painting in front of the work. It is evident that Ventura’s creative process involves moving back and forth between two-dimensional paintings and three-dimensional sculptures.
