Karuizawa New Art Museum is pleased to announce the solo exibition “Ay-O: RAINBOW 88″, from March 16th (Sat.),2019 in commemoration of his 88th birthday.
Ay-O (1931-)is one of the legendary artists in the Japanese Contemporary Art, who went to New York participate in Fluxus avant-garde art movement in the early 60′s introduced by Yoko Ono. We would like to present, on this oppotunity, his representative paintings from his Rainbow series and pieces produced in the period of Fluxus to his Dinosaur works of his recent decade.

Jean-Michel Othoniel Ai no Idenshi Ten “DNA of Love”.
We are gladly proud of our Room 4 to show you again the solo exhibition ～DNA of Love～ by French contemporary artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. One of Othoniel’s popular works 《Pink Kokoro》made of Murano glass beads and his 15 drawing pieces are going to be exhibited in the exhibition room with full of external light. It will provide a bright and refined space to you.
