About the Exhibition
Whitestone Gallery Karuizawa is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Kin Kwaing Kyu.
Born in Korea in 1959, he spent his childhood in korea.
Growing up in an environment surrounded by nature,
he was fascinated by the mountains and the sea.
He was interested in ladscape and animal paintings.
As a student, he majored in fine art.
He worked for seven years as a designer in "Christian Bernard", the jewelry brand.
In 1998, he joined a Japanese jewelry brand, where he expanded his field of work also as a craftsman.
While influenced by the European Ecole de Paris and Surrealism,
he has grown as an Asian pop artist.
Today, as a remarkable person in the international contemporary art scene,
he has been the focus of intense attention.
