#0 A Gate-shaped piece: Work (No.2001007)

Let us introduce an artwork from the current Maekawa exhibition!

#0 A Gate-shaped piece: Work (No.2001007)

This is the work in the shape of a gate installed at the entrance of the exhibition rooms, newly made for this occasion! With 3.5 meters in height it gives us a remarkable impression.

When passing through this thick burlap gate you are invited to start discovering Maekawa’s world, so to speak, the universe of the grand Master of  various cloths is welcoming you!

Maquettes of this piece are on display. During the trial there were some red and navy colored, but the completed form became the one colored like that which spreads directly enough the charm of this material.
